Steve Smith, a Technical Project Manager, leads major technical IT projects for Lake County IL.  He has stuided Computer Science and Psycology at Northen Illinois University and has his MCSE, MCP, A+,CCNA, and is currently woking towrds his PMP certification.  Steve has 25 years of IT experience working for companies like Motorola, Microsoft, Allscripts Health Care, and CubeJumpers.  His role in the PMO at Lake County was created for him and aims to increase the awareness and success of the many initiatives that IT provides.

In addition to being a Project Manager, Steve sings Bass in a local vocal jazz group called Jazz Spectrum. Dragged to rehersals with his mom he caught the bug early and started performing at age 7. He has perfomed at many local venues as well as stages in Arizona, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
