WORKSHOP A: Using Your Intranet To Motivate Change And Drive Employee Engagement
Rogue Services and Solutions
“Employee engagement” is a much buzzed about key phrase in the digital workplace. The Harvard Business Review backs it up in its respected findings. Forbes calls engagement the emotional commitment an employee has to the organization and its goals. Gallup polls indicate that engagement rates for 2015 averaged between 31.5 percent and 32.1 percent and have been comparable for 2016.

We all want our employees to put in a little extra effort but meet the needs of the organization first. We want better margins, lower turnover and tighter teamwork. And, yet, nearly 70 percent of employees are not engaged. This provides an immense opportunity to leverage a tool many of us already have at our fingertips—the corporate intranet—to motivate change.

This workshop will include both individual and group break-out exercises as you learn how to harness the power of your existing intranet to maximize employee engagement, including how to:

  • Position your intranet as the virtual gathering place for communication, content and collaboration to engage your workforce

  • Uncover top intranet design and content steps to invigorate your intranet

  • Outline and deploy a survey to seek responses to better serve your workforce

  • Add opportunities for employees to gain and provide peer recognition

WORKSHOP B: Productivity From Your Pocket
PSC Group

Did you know that the 4th most popular productivity app in the iOS app store is Outlook by Microsoft?  Microsoft has invested heavily in building first-class mobile apps that make you more productive on the go.

How does mobile access to the corporate intranet help users be more productive? They no longer have to access the intranet via a tablet or laptop/desktop computer to have a great user experience. They can more easily access the information you, as the internal communications professional, have published.

As an internal communications professional, learn how you can get the most out of that Instagram Machine in your pocket at this workshop, including:

  • Engage with end users to meet them where they are – on their phones

  • Absorb the information published in multichannel communication

  • Take advantage of improvements in the SharePoint mobile experience

  • Overcome the challenge of making intranet content available everywhere on any device with a rewarding mobile experience

A great intranet has a strong and compelling vision that's shared, understood, and creates exceptional employee experiences. Yet with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities, it can be hard to maintain a vision as your intranet moves through design, development, and evolution.

Roadmaps are an amazing tool to help a team maintain a strong and compelling intranet vision.

In this interactive workshop, learn the activities necessary to build a roadmap that supports your intranet vision, including how to:

  • Build a shared and compelling design vision with stakeholders
  • Assess and prioritize your intranet’s features and functionality

  • Identify conditions and measures for success
